There before me stood an expanse of mountains. The Blue Ridge Mountains
Mountains so blue, so massive, and so majestic that not even the most beautiful of things could ever compare. What a hope that we have in Jesus that He uses such an extreme scale of size to show His love in such intricate ways.
You see, it is such a beautiful thing that we have been given strong legs to climb even the steepest of mountains, strong lungs to provide oxygen for our weary bodies, and an adventurous soul that so often brings us to places where even demons fear to tread.
When we see the majesty of our God, we realize how minuscule our problems actually are. That there is much more beauty in life to solely focus on our own pain.
There are holes everywhere to give and receive grace.
In our most excruciating trials, He will carry you through. He will strengthen your legs to climb. He will strengthen your lungs to breathe in His very own breath, and He will strengthen your soul to be willing to follow where He leads. Even strength to climb the precipices that every firm step is critical for your survival.
His grace will bring you through this.
In case you need a reminder today,
You will walk bravely into this trial knowing that the wisdom and grace God has given you over time will carry you through. Not because of anything that you have done, but because of everything He is. For you know, being completely encompassed and wrapped in His grace, that you are far too deep in His love to back out now. It is most essential to realize that His love is deep enough to keep you in this painful season until His purposeful work in you is complete.
This is the season in which God will use to teach you that no matter what you are going through, He will persistently pursue you, fearlessly guide you, and recklessly teach you what it means to live freely immersed in His grace.
Open your heart to Him. Allow Him to remind you daily that His grace was bought at a much higher price to be forgotten and too weighted to be tossed around freely. It is a cross that we are privileged to carry. So sacrificial that He moved heaven and earth to save you. His grace is absolutely vital to our existence. It's not just one extra chance, but a 10th, 11th, and 12th. It's an eye opener to turn from our sinful ways to a God whose heart craves every piece of ours. Even the most shattered, sorrowful, and guilt-ridden pieces.
It's a love that reaches beyond the gates of the universe to make us new once again. Accepting this extraordinary grace means to confidently approach His thrown knowing that your weakness is never wasted. Your pain serves an even greater purpose in His kingdom.
You may dwell in His presence forever bought by the precious blood of His son.
Let that sink in.
